Meditation Center in Oregon, OH
Meditation Center in Oregon, OH
The Meditation Center is a community-based center for the teaching and practicing of Buddha Dharma and mindfulness or vipassana meditation. We offer Buddhist teachings in clear, accessible and open-handed ways.
Guided by Teacher Yu, the center offers a broad range of programs and community activities. These include weekly meditation sessions and dharma talks (talks on Buddha's teachings and practice). In addition, we offer introductory classes in mindfulness meditation, youth programs, Buddhist Diet seminars, year-long study programs and residential meditation retreats.
The center welcomes anyone and everyone who has an interest in the teachings and practices we offer. We aspire for our community to represent the wide range of diversity found in our society. The center is intended to be a spiritual home for everyone who practices here.
The center does not require payment for any of our teachings, programs or events. The support of our teachers and center expenses is done through voluntary donations from the community. We are inspired by how effectively mindfulness practice unfolds when it does so in a field of goodwill, generosity and gratitude.
The center is here especially to serve the communities around Toledo & Oregon in Ohio. It is a center of gathering of individuals who meet to learn and practice Buddha Dharma and mindfulness. Currently, the guiding teacher is Teacher Yu.
We are located at 4209 Corduroy Road, Oregon, OH. We are a non-residential center. The center welcomes everyone to come in, listen to the talks, and meditate. Namo Buddha!
